Is this a subscription?
No. FrameShot costs $9.99 once. That one payment includes every future update, with no renewal and no paid tier on top.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) running macOS 15 Sequoia or later. 120 fps recording needs a ProMotion display.
How many Macs can I use it on?
One license activates FrameShot on 1 Mac. Getting a new Mac? Move your license over whenever you need to. If your old Mac is lost or broken, email us and we'll reset the activation.
Do my screenshots get uploaded anywhere?
Never. FrameShot has no cloud features, no accounts and no analytics. Captures are saved as files in the folder you choose, and nothing leaves your Mac unless you share it yourself. The privacy policy has the details.
Why does it ask for Screen Recording, Microphone, Camera and Accessibility?
macOS requires Screen Recording permission for any app that captures the screen. Microphone and Camera are optional, for narrating recordings and adding a camera bubble. Accessibility is optional too: it lets scrolling capture scroll the page for you. The first-run setup explains each one, and you can skip the optional ones.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final, so please check that your Mac meets the requirements before you buy. If you were charged twice, or FrameShot won't run on a supported Mac and we can't fix it, we'll refund you. See the refund policy.
Can I use it for work?
Yes. A license is for one person and can be used for personal and commercial work. For several people, ask about volume licenses.
Does it work alongside the built-in macOS screenshot tool?
Yes. FrameShot uses its own shortcuts (⌥⇧3 to ⌥⇧9 by default), so ⇧⌘3 and ⇧⌘4 keep working. You can change any of them in Settings.
